27 July 2018
The team of developers of the popular Telegram messenger announced the launch of an interesting new feature. It is about the authorization service called Passport. The new Telegram Passport authorization system is designed to securely store user identification data on Telegram servers in encrypted form. If necessary, the stored information can be quickly sent to all kinds of financial services or ICOs. The developers claim that information saved in this way is protected by end-to-end encryption, and even the service administration has no access to the user data. Moreover, it is transmitted directly to the recipient for authorization in third-party services. The first payment system has already integrated with Telegram Passport. It turned out to be ePayments. In future, their number will be gradually increased. In addition, the developers have promised that soon the data stored in Passport will be stored in a decentralized cloud.
