The Mastercard payment system has launched a new money transfer service in Russia. It is reported that the technological partner-contractor MasterCard in the development of the new platform was the company Mail.Ru Group. In this case, the platform is developed on the basis of domestic software. Thus, the service is implemented on database and application server Tarantool and cloud infrastructure Mail.Ru Cloud Solutions. This platform provides secure exchange of bank card data and user identifiers, and the platform also developed an external shell and API, which will allow any client banks of MasterCard to connect to the service. The first of them was Raiffeisenbank. To make a transfer in this new way, the cardholder must specify the recipient's telephone number on the bank's website. The recipient will receive an SMS link to the MasterCard portal with the number of the card to which the transfer will be made.
