Microsoft is testing a new Skype app for Android

17 February 2017
Not long ago, as part of an insider program, Microsoft released Skype Preview for Android. The application underwent a complete redesign and became similar to the product of the same name, which Windows 10 users could already try. Now, this feature is available to all owners of mobile devices running, perhaps, the most popular mobile OS.First of all, we can note the new design of the application, which has become more modern. Everything has changed: from the appearance of the most insignificant icons to their location in the program window. As mentioned above, Windows 10 users will be very familiar with these changes from the "Skype Preview" application already available on this OS. It seems that this is how Skype will look after the final move to the cloud on all supported platforms. As for the functionality of the application, for ordinary users, basically nothing has changed. Except that the developers have implemented integration with the search service Bing, which will allow you to search for information on the network without leaving the conversation. In addition, the found information can be shared with the interlocutor with just one click on the screen. Another interesting feature of the new Skype is the introduction of the function to send reactions to the received messages, familiar to many Facebook users. Also, integration with Giphy will make communication even more pleasant and fun, allowing you to quickly find gif-animations on any topic and paste them into the dialogue. Of course, this is not all the innovations that the program got. In addition, the representatives of Microsoft promise to add a number of interesting features in the near future. At the moment, to download Skype Preview for Android you need to confirm your desire to participate in the test. It is expected that in the coming days users of Apple gadgets will be able to do so, and in a few months there will be a release of the final version of the application.
