The unofficial debut of the Philips 498P9 monitor took place. Information about it appeared on the net. How does it impress? At least - the unusual size. The last one is surprising.
Philips 498P9 boasts a diagonal of 49 inches. In addition, the screen has a concave shape. The radius of curvature is 1800R. As for the design, it is borrowed from Philips 439P9H.
The aspect ratio is 32:9. The resolution is decent - 5120 by 1440 pixels. This allows you to replace the two 27-inch WQHD-displays (placed side by side).
At the heart of the solution is a VA matrix. You can hope for a refresh rate of 70 Hz. The response time is not bad - 5 ms (grey to grey). The contrast ratio reaches 3000:1.
When it comes to brightness, the Philips 498P9 offers 450 cd/m2. Also worth noting is the presence of a Picture by Picture function. Among other things, many interfaces are available.
On board there is a quartet of USB, a pair of HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort 1.2. Complementing the configuration is the traditional headphone output. There is no other information available.
Philips 498P9 will be presented in June 2020. The price is not known. Expect the price to be around 100,000 roubles.
