Good news for those who are used to buying certain goods on AliExpress. The Chinese shopping site has begun to deliver orders to Russia through special pickup points across the country. The Kommersant magazine shared the relevant information, citing a certain AliExpress representative. According to the published data, today, June 19, 2018, delivery of orders through 1,800 PickPoint pickup points, Qiwi and Pulse Express, as well as Rostelecom and Tele2 salons began. Ability to pick up the purchase in a new way appeared in 100 cities in Russia with a population of more than 300 thousand people. It is known that the partner of AliExpress was DPD, which specializes in express delivery of goods. Recall that this company has already established itself in cooperation with Tmall, also owned by the Chinese giant Alibaba. It is worth noting that order delivery to the pickup point is possible not all goods. Thus, to get the new way you can send packages with weight not exceeding 15 kg, size not more than 600 x 4000 x 300 mm. The representatives of AliExpress suggest that the innovation will help to reduce the delivery time of parcels to Russia by nearly half: from 14-30 days to about 8-15 days. Time will tell whether these hopes are justified.
