Today it was reported that at the end of May 2019, the acclaimed Samsung Galaxy Fold will be released on the Russian market. This is a device that the company has been developing since 2011. In 2018, society saw the first prototype, as similar as possible to the production one.
A smartphone with a bendable screen will cost 150-200,000 rubles. However, it is impossible to say exactly how much the device will cost, yet. The price will be announced closer to the start of sales.
Abroad, the folding gadget can be purchased for 1980 dollars, which translates into almost 127,000 rubles.
Dmitry Gostev, head of Samsung Mobile in Russia, said that supplies of Galaxy Fold in our country will be limited. The gadget can be ordered through the company's official website or in several Samsung stores. It is not yet known exactly how many smartphones will be in the party intended for Russia.
It should be noted that in the U.S. sales of the device will start in a few days - April 26. In Europe, the Galaxy Fold will be released on May 3, 2019. In China, due to some problems, the smartphone will not be sold in the near future.
Recall that some time ago, videos and photos appeared on the Web from bloggers who received the devices for testing. There it says that the Samsung Galaxy Fold broke after a short period of use. It turned out that the journalists simply removed a special film, which is an integral part of the screen and protects it. Samsung responded to the reports, the company promised to thoroughly investigate the problems encountered with the devices and take into account all the nuances in the future.
