Samsung released the voice assistant Bixby to the international market

23 August 2017
Surely, many people have heard that Samsung introduced its own voice assistant, Bixby, during the release of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagships. However, only users from the Republic of Korea were able to try it then, and then, closer to mid-summer, from the U.S. as well. Now it's possible to use the assistant from Samsung in more than 200 countries. It is reported that such a late release of Bixby on the world market is due to the presence of difficulties with the adaptation to the English language. At the moment, the assistant understands only the Korean and English languages. Despite this, on August 22, users from the UK, Germany, India, the Netherlands, South Africa and several other countries were able to use the services of the assistant. According to the developers, their creation is able to recognize commands in natural language, without special templates. It can be used for the comprehensive management of the gadget: Bixby can both change the settings of the device, and manage the camera, contacts, gallery and messages, and in the near future will learn to work with third-party products. It is worth adding that despite entering the international market, Bixby is still only available on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It is expected that the list of supported devices will be increased, but when this will happen is anyone's guess.
