Surely many people have heard about the BlackBerry Priv, which saw the light back in 2015 and quickly won the hearts of users. In many ways, it owes this to the unusual for Android gadgets form factor: the device is a slider with a physical QWERTY-keyboard. Since the release, Priv has had time to update from Android 5.1 Lollipop to 6.0 Marshmallow and users were still eagerly awaiting an update on the availability of Nougat, but the developers decided otherwise. The relevant information was shared by Alex Turber - CEO of BlackBerry Mobility Solutions, in another podcast. He attributed this decision to the high complexity of providing updates to all vendors. Nevertheless, the company will continue to release security updates for the smartphone. BlackBerry representative also added that a similar fate could befall DTEK50 and DTEK60 devices. The fact is that these gadgets were the first released in collaboration with the company TCL and was, in a way, "a test run" of the new partnership. On the other hand, BlackBerry KEYone owners have nothing to fear. Work on the update to Android Oreo for these devices has been officially confirmed.
