The popular video hosting site YouTube is under threat of being blocked in Russia. Roskomnadzor sent the administration of the resource an official letter with a warning and a demand to remove the account of the Open Russia movement within 24 hours.Recall that on December 11 this year, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, Roskomnadzor added 11 organizations deemed undesirable in Russia to the register of prohibited Internet resources. On December 12, the site of the Open Russia movement, also on that list, was blocked. A request to block the account of an undesirable organization was then sent to Twitter and YouTube. YouTube reportedly officially confirmed receipt of the request from Roskomnadzor and notified Open Russia. At the same time, in a reply letter, the administration of the video hosting reported that it had not found on the said account any information that violated the law. Thus, Open Russia's YouTube account is still not blocked. At the same time, according to RBC, Roskomnadzor plans to have the unwanted organization's Twitter and YouTube account removed through negotiations. Thus, as long as there is a dialogue, there is no need to fear the blocking of these resources.
