PURPOSE OF THE EXPERIMENT: To measure the period of oscillations of a suspended pendulum with weights of different masses.
DESCRIPTION: The oscillation period T of a suspended pendulum depends on the length of the pendulum string L, but it does not depend on the mass of the load m. This is verified by a series of measurements in which the period of oscillation of such a pendulum is measured by means of a photoelectric sensor connected to a digital counter.
