SciDAVis is a software for scientific data analysis, visualization and preparation for printing. SciDAVis combines an easy to learn and intuitive interface with extensive features, such as the ability to write scripts and create your own modules. SciDAVis can generate various types of 2D and 3D graphs (line graphs, point graphs, 3D bar graphs, 3D pie charts, 3D pie charts, 3D surfaces) based on data imported from ASCII files, manually typed or calculated by formulas.
The data is contained in separate tables containing data in columns or as matrices. Tables, graphs, and related notes are assembled into projects and can be organized using directories. SciDAVis' built-in analysis tools include line/post-column table statistics, convolution/reverse convolution, fast Fourier analysis, and fast Fourier-based data filters.
Data can be approximated using both user-defined functions and the built-in set of linear and nonlinear approximation functions, including multi-peak approximation using the GNU Scientific Library. Graphs can be saved in several raster graphics file formats as well as in PDF, EPS or SVG formats. Built-in calculation of mathematical expressions is supported, and an optional scripting interface for the Python language is available.
