GnuPG A free alternative to the PGP cryptographic software suite, released under the General Public License. Part of the GNU project, it has received grants from the German government. GnuPG is fully compatible with the IETF OpenPGP standard. Current versions of GnuPG can communicate with PGP and other OpenPGP-compatible systems in compatibility mode. GnuPG allows you to encrypt and sign data for secure storage and transmission of information.
